Committees and Councils Minimize
Within the TBA we have a number of Councils and Committees that have been formed over the years in order to focus in on some of the major areas of the industry. These special interest groups are a great way to become more involved and proactive in the organization and in the community in general. In the same way, our Special Events Committees provide wonderful opportunities for our members to network and have fun!

Spike Club Minimize

What is the Spike Club?
Spikes points are awarded to members for recruiting new Builder, Associate, Affiliate, or Council members. Once a member has earned 6 points, they become a Spike. They will earn Life Spike status with 25 Spike points. The Spike Club is a great way to honor our top recruiters.

What are the benefits of becoming a Spike?

The real benefits of Spike Club are intangible – you will be recognized for your contributions to the association and regarded as an accomplished and connected member. Additionally, Spikes receive:

  • A coveted invitation to the biggest party of the year, the Spike Party/Directors’ Reception.
  • Increased visibility, recognition, and networking opportunities at industry events.
  • Unique and valuable rewards for each level of achievement, including lapel pins, plaques, trophies, wearables, jewelry, and more!
  • Additional VIP treatment throughout the year on a national, state, and local levels.
  • Access to the Spike Party during the FHBA Fall Conference. The Spike Party this year will be held on Friday, October 5 at 7pm.

How do I become a Spike?

Before becoming a Spike, you are a Spike candidate. That means you have earned between 1 and 5 Spike credits. Once you earn your 6th Spike credit, you become an official Spike. Spike credits are earned through recruiting and retaining members.

To retain your status as a Spike, you must earn a minimum of 1 Spike credit each year, until you reach the level of Life Spike by earning 25 Spike credits.
